Description
Cradle Kansas City is a collective impact initiative consisting of public and private partnerships and resident experts with lived experience, who are dedicated to changing the systems, large and small, that reinforce the status quo.
Goal / Mission
Cradle Kansas City only has one goal, to close the health equity gap. By doing this, they will impact premature birth and infant and maternal mortality. They accomplish this through partnerships medical systems, resident-built strategies, and clear messaging that is aimed at systemic change.
Results / Accomplishments
Cradle Kansas City has:
African American Women's Perspectives of Perinatal Care in Wyandotte County report
Created a Kansas City regional Maternal Child Health Data Sharing Network (first of its kind in the region)
Published a "My Life, My Goals" reproductive life plan (English and Spanish), which is a part of the KDHE Reproductive Health Tool Kit
To date 56 organizations and 165 people make up the Cradle Kansas City Collective
